2 Chronicles 6:7-11

7 Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of the Lord, the God of Israel.8 But the Lord said to David my father, ‘Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart.9 Nevertheless, it is not you who shall build the house, but your son who shall be born to you shall build the house for my name.’10 Now the Lord has fulfilled his promise that he made. For I have risen in the place of David my father and sit on the throne of Israel, as the Lord promised, and I have built the house for the name of the Lord, the God of Israel.11 And there I have set the ark, in which is the covenant of the Lord that he made with the people of Israel

2 Chronicles 6:8 shows us that every time we desire in our hearts to put God first in our life by building the temple of His name, he is very please in us.

It doesn't matter whether God will say no or yes to the plan we have in mind, eventually, because our heart is true, God will direct our hearts to His will.

David plan to build the temple. God is please but He told David that it is Solomon who will built it. Did matter to David that the building of the temple will not be credited during his term but to his successor? The answer is no. In fact, David even help on supporting the work of the Lord because He know that it is the concept of the Kingdom. One body and only one vision or goal

Likewise, in the new covenant faith, it doesn't matter who is in the front line of the works of the ministry because not all can be pastors, or bishops or ministers, but as one body we can be the support system of those who are executing the deed. That is body life. Some plans, some execute, some supports the work. Not all can be head, or not all can be hands or not all can be feet, but we have one body whose head is Christ, working together for the fulfillment of God's purpose for us here on earth, which is to bring the kingdom of God from heaven to earth by becoming the living words ourselves as we conformed to Christ.
