To Speak Evil of No One
. But we urge you, brothers, to do this more and more. AND TO ASPIRE TO LIVE QUIETLY, AND TO MIND YOUR OWN AFFAIRS, AND TO WORK WITH YOUR OWN HANDS, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one. . . (1 Thessalonians 4:10-12)
Not all fights are needed to be announced to the world. Many people are actually silent heroes. Even the Lord Jesus teaches us to lead a quiet life and to even do good works in SECRET. For many people who announce their "righteousness" publicly desires to be praise, and the word of God Says
Matthew 6:1-4 “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
It is the SECRET LIFE that defines who we are , and it is the SECRET SINS that tells us how unworthy of a life we are.
The world teaches us to announce the good deeds we did and to hide the evil deeds we committed. But this is hipocrisy, for God's standard says, hide your good deeds, and announce your bad deeds. Why? Because it is to expose how dirty we are can we only accept that all of us are sinners, while to hide our good points in heaven is what keeps us living in humility.
So do not judge others who rather keep quiet, because to be quiet means to have wisdom, while to open your mouth in anger and spite is foolishness.
Proverbs 10:19 When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable, But he who restrains his lips is wise.
Proverbs 11:12 He who despises his neighbor lacks sense, But a man of understanding keeps silent.
Proverbs 17:28 Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise; When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent.
Job 13:5 “O that you would be completely silent, And that it would become your wisdom!
How you speak and act reflects to the world who you really are.
Matthew 12:34, 'Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. "
To celebrate in silence and alone will doesn't change the fact that you still win. No need to brag.
